Jonathan

A keen foodie, Jonathan had been living in the cultural hotspot of Haggerston in East London for 10 years, renting privately at £2,000 per month. Keen to get on the property ladder, Jonathan came across shared ownership and immediately knew it was right. Not only could he get on to the property ladder he could use the extra savings to realise his other dream – to purchase his own gourmet pub.
Jonathan comments, “When I came across shared ownership, I couldn’t believe how affordable it was. I only needed £5,000 for a deposit, and the monthly outgoings were so much cheaper than renting privately.

Jonathan purchased a 25% share of a one-bedroom apartment at L&Q at Greenwich Square – the leading housing association’s premium development of one to three bedroom apartments in the heart of Greenwich.

“Shared ownership has enabled me to live in a much nicer home, for much cheaper than where I rented before. I have recommended it to lots of friends already, and in fact, one of my friends has already followed my lead and bought at L&Q at Greenwich Square.”

The journey of getting on to the property ladder was equally smooth, with the L&Q sales team helping at every stage.
